Aftercare

After your session

After the tattoo session we’ll set a breathable dressing, second skin type.

You can keep it for the rest of the day and up to 3 days if it’s not loaded with liquid or secretions. If the second skin is broken, loose, or loaded with liquid or secretions you must inmediately take it off to prevent bacteria accumulation and infections.

If you skin becomes red or if it itches you must take the second skin off right away to avoid an allergic reaction.

It is not mandatory to continue using it after the first day. However, I do think tattoos heal much faster with a protective film, and using it right prevents bacteria from contaminating your tattoo. To remove the dressing, pull softly down from one of the angles helping yourself with warm water.

If you like to put on a new second skin, right after you take the first off, wash thoroughly and dry your tattoo. Extend the skin well before placing the dressing to have a good adhesion. Avoid air bubbles.

Every second skin must be worn up to three days and in all no longer than a week.

Cleansing and moisturizing

You will have to wash your hands thoroughly before touching your tattoo.

Wash your tattoo at least 2 times a day with antibacterial, ph-neutral soap.

Dry your tattoo tapping with disposable paper towels.

Once you stop using the second skin, you can start using a tattoo aftercare cream.

After cleaning and drying your tattoo put a small amount (a fingertip) of aftercare tattoo cream such as Cicaplast, Cicalfate.

Dont’s

Do not scratch the skin. If scabs appears, do not remove them. Overall, try not to touch your tattoo too much.

Avoid non-specific cosmetics: creams, perfumes, babywipes, make-up, cleansing milk, petroleum jelly, etc.

Avoid exposure to the Sun and UV for the first month. Once healed, always use sun-block.

Do not wear tight clothes to cover your tattoo, better wear cotton clothes, and leave your tattoo uncovered as much as possible.
